国家药监局在对位于中国吉林省的疫苗生产厂家——长春长生生物(11.750, 0.00, 0.00%)科技股份有限公司的生产场地进行飞行检查时，查出该公司在涉事批次狂犬病疫苗生产过程中存在记录造假的问题。政府已经扣留了所有涉事疫苗，避免给患者使用问题疫苗，并停止了该公司的疫苗生产。世卫组织正在等待进一步的调查结果，并随时准备向中国国家卫生主管部门提供支持。
“疫苗的监管极其重要，它是政府确保中国生产和使用的疫苗安全、优质和有效的主要手段，”世卫组织驻华代表高力表示。“这次事件显示出当监管有效时，可以规避潜在的风险。”
